Very rare and hard to find.

 

‘ The Teddy Story’

 

It started from a political cartoon in 1902 that portrayed President Teddy Roosevelt refusing to shoot a bear cub.  Within a year, the cartoon became an adorable toy for children of all ages.   The ‘Cherished Teddies’ Collection celebrates the 90th anniversary of the teddy bear with this commemorative figurine.

 

The book of teddies 1903 – 1993 pays tribute to the cuddly bear that will be loved for many years to come.

 

 

Teddy is complete with his glasses and with writing on both pages of the open book.

 

Absolute mint condition in original box with all papers.

 

Secondary market value, according to my Cherished Teddies data was £200.00 three years ago!!
