These are a really good example of this toy, made by the DaMert company they have the wind up key as part of the whole item so you don’t lose the wind up key.

 

They can be pre wound and then left somewhere with a small weight eg a pillow on top of them, and then when your unsuspecting target moves the pillow…..Off go the Teeth chatteing noisily and repeatedly.
