Charles II Sterling Silver Trefid Spoon Made in London, by Edward Hulse, in 1681. A Superb Sterling Silver Trefid Spoon. Made in London, in 1681, by Edward Hulse. A VERY RARE Trefid Spoon from a rare maker so Rare mark. With a Scroll Decorated Ribbed Rat Tail and Lace Back Bowl all in good condition. Engraved to the back MB. Edward Hulse attributed by Kent in "London Silver spoonmakers 1500-1697" in addendum to later editions. Condition: The Marks: Makers mark Well Struck. Others rubbed. The Spoon: Very Good. Decoration very well defined and good, both front and rear. Some very small dinks and scratches, with very little lip curl to the front edge of the bowl. Also with very small surface notch to bowl edge. A small distortion to the top notch. Still Super Early RARE Spoon. Hallmarks:
