I have thick mid-length ginger hair and it is really difficult to straighten and I use L’Oreal heat protector and Straightening cream but I still look fluffy and with flicks all over the place.
First question. What straightening iron are you using?
If your hair is thick then you need a good quality ceramic iron that will reach approx 210C.
If it will not reach this temperature then your hair will be hard to style. Do not get one that has a higher temperature than this otherwise you could easily damage your hair.
