Description: Cat pee doesn't pose a serious health risk. Its"No 2s" you've got to watch. Cat poo can carry a disease called toxoplasmosis (symptoms are similar to flu with raised temperature and enlarged lymph glands), which is particularly dangerous to pregnant women and those with impaired immune systems, young children and even dogs! I had a thank you letter from a customer last year who had been troubled with her sick dog for some time and not to mention pet bills running into hundreds of pounds. She suspected the problem might be cat poo as the dog was always digging it up - she purchased half a dozen plants and as the letter finishes "for less than ten pounds you have solved the problem THANK YOU" Plant breeders have been working for many years and have experimented with over 300 plants to produce this ultimate deterrent ! - CATS OFF ! SCAREDY CAT PLANT! Cats, foxes and squirrels will avoid the area around this Pee-off plant as it is affectionately known. This attractive plant has excellent foliage and small, attractive spikes of blue flowers in the summer. The plant shows very good tolerance to drought and cool temperatures, but protect the plant from severe frost damage. The plant releases a stench that cats can't stand. Thankfully it only smells to the human nose when the foliage is touched! Could this be the solution to your feline intruder problems you've been looking for? Our experience in growing this plant has also identified its benefits in controlling unwanted flying garden pests namely greenfly and whitefly and we have tested this alongside commercial crops which are prone to these infestation attacks - Petunia Surfinia, Million Bells, Sweet Peas, and Tomatoes to name a few and in each trial the results have been the same and the unwanted insects have avoided the area, so even if you don't have a cat problem it could also provide an organic pest control for your valuable plants!
