A beautifully carved Tawny Owl. Carved from one piece of  English Oak (Quercus Robur). The carving has been executed to show the Owl sitting on a tree stump as they are so often seen . Not the best photo in the world I will admit but the oak is quite a dark variety making the beautiful detail difficult to pick up on the camera. approx. 7 inches high.
