Carnelian, a red or orange form of Chalcedony, is a wonderful, strong and warming stone which works mainly on the orange (sacral) and yellow (Solar Plexus) Chakras.  It represents the strength and fertility of the Earth, and can help us to actualise our own power on the physical plane, express our physical and mental courage, increase our inner receptivity, and improve our physical senses, particularly that of touch.  It can help to focus concentration and to balance creativity and the mental processes. 

Keywords for this crystal include confidence, boldness, initiative, assertiveness, precision, awareness of feelings and dramatic ability.  Carnelian is useful for anyone who has to address groups of people, providing eloquence and self-confidence for public speaking, and possessing the ability to conquer self-doubt and negativity.
