What we provide.

We print on 390gsm and not 250gsm, which is alot thinner. The higher the gsm, the better the quality and strength.

Thanks to HnD Prints, your favorite photographs can be transformed into an exclusive work of art. You simply send us the picture and we do the rest!

We take the image you’ve captured on camera – digital or actual picture – and, using the very latest in photographic printing technology, transform it into a unique canvas ready for you to frame or stretch to look great in your lounge or just as much at home in your office!

Printed on specialist archive canvas material, whether it’s a treasured family portrait, wedding day memory, favorite holiday snap or dramatic landscape -your picture will look as good for a lifetime as on the day it was framed.

Production

All work from printing to finishing takes place in house and all canvases are individually hand finished by our team of experienced staff. This guarantees your canvas will be of the highest quality when it reaches you.

I can accept up to 20mb in any one e-mail. Please send more than one e-mail if necessary.

If your image is too big to e-mail to me (over 20mb) you can use services like www.yousendit.com or www.mybigfile.com or post a CD! (info@hndprints.com)

Printer Information

Designed specifically to give the finest results for Fine Art and Photography applications, Canon’s iPF8100 uses a 12-colour LUCIA pigment ink system which produces exceptionally accurate colours, expressive black and whites.

Canon’s incredible 12-colour LUCIA pigment ink system produces the full spectrum of colours with unnerving accuracy and perfect balance due to the innovative inclusion of both RGB and CMY inks. A dual print head featuring 30,720 nozzles produces super-fine, evenly distributed 4 picolitre ink droplets.

Black and white photography work has never looked so good. A combination of black, matt black, grey and photo grey inks allow for incredibly smooth graduation without graininess for incredibly lifelike photography.

Equally important, the iPF8100 lets you produce work that’s here to stay, with prints that are guaranteed to be unaffected by light (Lightfastness) for 100 years and with borderless printing up to 42” your prints will have maximum impact.

FAQ’s

Question   What file size does my image need to be to ensure a good quality print?
Answer      If you are ordering a canvas smaller than a 16inch x 12inch we recommend that the file size is larger than 500kb, if you require a larger print we      recommend that the file size is 1mb or larger. If you are creating your own artwork in Photoshop or any other artwork program we recommend 300 dpi.

Question    What inks do you use?
Answer      We only use genuine Canon pigment inks, Canon’s incredible 12-colour LUCIA pigment ink system produces the full spectrum of colours featuring  Red, Blue, Green, Gray, Photo Gray, Cyan, Photo Cyan, Magenta, Photo Magenta, Yellow, Photo Black, and Matte Black with unnerving accuracy and perfect balance due to the innovative inclusion of both RGB and CMY inks. A dual print head featuring 30,720 nozzles produces super-fine, evenly distributed 4 picolitre ink droplets.

Question    What resolution do your print to?
Answer       We always print at High-resolution output, up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with tiny 4pl droplets of ink.

Question    How fast is delivery?
Answer       All Canvas orders received before 1pm Mon-Thurs will be guaranteed to be dispatched within 3 days from receiving the order. This does not include Weekends and Bank Holidays as working days. The Service is only guaranteed should your image be of suitable quality to print. If there are any issues with your image, this could delay the service. Please note this offer does not include off shore UK areas such as Northern Ireland.

Question    Where and how can I hang my finished canvas?
Answer       We recommend that you hang your canvas away from any heat sources (Radiators and fires) as this can results in some warping of the canvas in some cases. The easiest and cheapest way to hang you canvas is to simply use two nails in the wall for the canvas to hang from, however you can use hanging string from any good DIY store.

Question   What if my image is not of the print size?
Answer      If your image is of a size which cannot be stretched due to ratio problems, then our designers will crop the image to create a correct ratio, this will stop any image from looking stretched. Please advise if you do not want this to happen.
