CANON IXUS 50

My daughter had this camera from new about 2 years ago, she used it for college where she's an art student. Its a brilliant camera (well, it was!), as any review you care to read will tell you.

She gave it to me with a jammed lens, and asked me to have a look at it. (her mistake!)

Well, I took it apart, (wasn't easy!) found that, yes, the lens had broke, and no! I couldnt fix it! (or even put it back together come to think of it!)

So now I have to sell it for spares and do a bit of grovelling.

All thats broken is the lens. All the motors are ok, the curcuit boards are fine, it has a very good battery and the screen is perfect.

If you have an Ixus 50 with a broken screen or other fault that doesn't include the lens, then this may be a cheap way to keep your treasured Ixus.

The bits may well be common with other canon cameras, I don't know.

Anyway its a bag of cheap camera bits to fix your Canon if you have a jewellers screwdriver a steady hand and a magnifying glass!
