Drawing all its power from the USB port, it lets you say goodbye to
electrical cables and transformers. Slender and light, it can be
operated on its side and packs plenty of muscle when it comes to
quality scans. 1200 x 2400dpi resolution and 48 bit color depth combine
to reproduce fine detail and subtle shade.The LiDE 60 can scan
documents directly into PDF (Portable Document Format) files negating
the need for specialized conversion software. Text is automatically
embedded in PDF files at time of scanning, for editing and searching.
Scan to PDF creates a floating palette of pages that can be arranged at
will.With an innovative Z-Lid, thick documents, books or small packages
can now be scanned as easily as if they were a single A4 sheet. By
keeping even pressure on whatever rests on the glass, the lid ensures
the best possible results regardless of the size and shape of your
object.Traditional methods of color matching are complicated and
time-consuming, but with Easy Color Matching Print, Canon's scanner to
printer combination produces stunning, realistic colors, quickly and
easily. This ensures more faithful reproduction and brilliant
output.Canon's QARE Level 3 is your on-board photo print correction
system. Dust and scratches are automatically detected and corrected,
saving hours of manual retouching. Faded color, excessive graininess

Multi-Photo Mode creates individual files from a single scan pass of up
to 10 separate images - all cropped and de-skewed automatically.
Smart features for amazing results
This is one
intelligent scanner. For larger projects, Multi-Scan Mode lets you scan
multiple images simultaneously, rather than one by one. Just arrange
them on the glass and select "Multi-Scan"--that's it! For convenience,
each image is automatically saved as an individual file. The LiDE 60
scanner also comes with Quick Automatic Retouching and Enhancement
(QARE) technology, which reduces much of the dust and scratches that
may appear on your older originals. It even auto-corrects to help with
graininess, picture fading and improper backlighting. After enhancement
you can archive these beautiful images and then e-mail them or print
