Polyester Resin Filler 2kg Lot

OMYA CARB 5 Polyester Resin Filler is used along with a standard polyester casting resin primarily to reduce shrinkage of the cast item from the normal 4-6% down to as little as 0.5% which is significant!

Use in moderation so that you do not overfill. 30% shows benefits, 100% by weight will thicken the resin. It will also improve the impact resistance of your cast, as will any filler addition. Primary benefits come from the shrinkage reduction.

It is white in colour but any pigment addition should overide this colour change.

These are emailed as links for download at the end of the auction. This item is not considered hazardous but may cause eye or lung irritation.

Item is packaged in a sealed plastic bag and is dry on despatch. Ensure the filler is fully dry before mixing, failure to do so will make it difficult to mix and possibly weaken you cast. It has a very high melting point and could be dried in an oven if needed. Ensure that the fan does not atomise the powder.
