Caithness Paperweight: Andromeda Limited Edition.. rare







A beautifully designed paperweight by Colin Terris.

This designer was at his most inspired when drawing from astral themes and combining them with classical allusions.

In this creation it is Andromeda who was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to a sea monster but was rescued by Perseus and married him.

Terris captures the sense of release in the central focus and infuses a sense of space and solitude in the inner environment.

This is No. 63 of a Limited Edition of 500. Its six-sided facet shape also add to the unique properties of this particular creation.

My photography does not do the colour justice and needs to be seen to appreciate the subtle shades of purple.

It comes in its original box and with a certificate of authenticity (see photos).
