Josh Exell. He specializes in outdoor and rural photography i.e. surfing, windsurfing, nature etc.
Josh says: "My approach to photography is to try to catch extreme contrasts in light with surf photography to create dramatic results and eye catching pictures. For the technical minded, I use a Nikon d50 and a 100-400mm lens at F4.5-6.7"

  
     
   
 

Cool water, stormy skies and heavy barrels. This is the side of British surfing that only the dedicated get to see. The contrast and depth in this digitally edited photo puts you right back in the water on of one of the best days of surfing this year. Josh says: "it was an overcast day in February when the swell was pumping and it was a super low tide croyde with light offshores. The wave was about 6ft or 2X overhead on the sets. there were a few guys out but no takers for this one or many others as a matter of fact a few guys got trashed and boards were washing up on the beach, while I was standing on the beach letting out shrieks of delight as I was snapping guys getting nailed. One guy came in and said he'd had enough because he was drilled into the bottom so many times he was coverd in cuts and bruises along with a snapped leash"
