Why replace your watchband?
Your watch is an important part of your wardrobe. A cracked, stained, frayed watch band reflects poorly on you. More importantly, badly worn watchbands harbor an array of bacteria and chemicals which can effect your health.
Change your watch band.

How to change your watch band.
Your watchband is usually secured to your watch by using a spring bar which fits into two holes in the lugs (the projections on the side of the watch). Some lugs have holes which can be seen from the outer side of the lug. If this is the case, simply press a pin into the hole and the spring bar should come away from that side of the watch freeing the watch strap. If you can't see the hole in the lug, gently place a thin blade or small watchmakers screwdriver between the lug and the strap and drag the spring loaded pin towards the watch strap. Once the is done the strap will usually come away from the watch.
Give your watch a spring cleaning.
Take an old tooth brush (no water or toothpaste) and gently clean down the watch around the crystal (glass) around the crown (where you set the time) between the lugs and around the back of the case.
Install your watch band.
Installation is the reverse of removal. Remember to take the spring bars from the old watch band and transfer them to your new watch band. The buckle end always goes on the 12 o'clock side of the watch.
Take a moment to sit back and appreciate you watch.
Look at the fine leather and its luxurious appearance. You can even smell the freshly tanned leather. How rich your watch now appears on your wrist. Yes, and others will think the same thing. Well done!
