Description

Original Cosworth DFV F1 engine Piston & Connecting Rod assembly

Used in the Williams FW08 of Keke Rosberg (who became world champion that year)

in the  1982 AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX where he finished 2nd by a fraction of a second to DeAngelis' Lotus in a famously close race.

The item has been mounted on a marble base and has a label with description on the piston.

Piston number 2 of only 8 in existance.


The item is complete with it's original certificate of authenticity from the engine builders ENGINE DEVELOPMENTS (Judd) signed by their founder John Judd and also signed by driver KEKE ROSBERG himself, team owner FRANK WILLIAMS.

This item was originally marketed by GRAND PRIX SPORTIQUE who had a long standing deal with Cosworth for such items. The extra signatures on the certificate were collected at the WILLIAMS GRAND PRIX ENGINEERING factory by the Miles brothers who lived nearby and were frequent visitors to the site and also regular spectators at F1 events.
