Highlights from the Mexican born group Cosa Nostra’s two recorded albums. Cosa Nostra & Adopta Un Arbol were released on Raff Records in 1970 & 1971. Both titles offer monster Latin funk, with hard guitar, bass, and wailing drums.

Amazing lost funk from Cosa Nostra -- a Latin combo that took a decisive American funky soul approach -- but still retained a hefty boogaloo wallop! Squeeze It Tight collects material from the two LPs the group recorded for Raff Records in the early 70s -- the hard soul and titanic funk-centured Cosa Nostra LP from '71 and the Latin-based funk album Adopta Un Arbol from '72. The Cosa Notra album cuts were recorded in English, and have some of the hardest, rawest funk you're likely to come across! The Adopta Un Arbol tracks hit with the same density, but pay a little more attention to the percussive groove, and the Spanish lyrics play a little bit more to the soul spectrum. All-in-all a massive batch of funk with heavy, heavy drums and percussion, spacey keys, punchy guitars and vocals that range from sweet soul to gravelly vamping! 17 tracks on the CD, including "Get Down And Do It", "I Like It Like That", "Somebody Been Sleepin' On My Bed", "Proud Mary", "Suite Latino", "Cosa Nostra", "Adopta Un Arbol", "Bondojo" and lots more!
