Cornflower - Centaurea cyanus - 100 seeds

An easy annual, very quick to flower from sowing and good for giving height to an annual border. Blue flowers are produced over grey-green foliage. Good for Cottage Garden or meadow style plantings. Best sown direct in flowering position, in prepared soil. Height 3ft (90cm).

Sowing Instructions:

Sow in Spring or late Summer/Autumn direct into well prepared garden soil. Best sown in rows about 9" (23cm) apart - this ensures that weeds can be recognised and removed while the plants are growing. Will sometimes self seed the following year.

We are a Devon based Nursery growing a wide range of high quality plants at our Nursery on the fringes of Dartmoor National Park. We have a particular interest in ornamental grasses and plants of South African origin.

Our Seeds:

All seeds are freshly sourced from reputable suppliers, or collected from stock plants on the Nursery and stored under controlled conditions. The seeds we sell are the same seed we use to produce plants for sale (approximately 25% of our sales are from seed raised stock).

All the varieties we sell are garden-worthy plants. Most of the varieties we sell are easy to grow, given suitable conditions, and in most cases will produce good sized flowering plants within a few months or less.
