The Corgi Volkswagen 1200 East African Safari. There were both left hand drive and right hand drive versions of this model which had steering controlled by the roof mounted tyre. The original price was 8/9. Produced from 1965-1968.

The first such model I have come across in shockingly impressive condition. Complete with rhino, mint plinth and box. As always, if you're not happy with one of our models, simply return it for a full refund. Easy peasy.

*Dinky Toys, owned by Meccano / Hornby, were diecast vehicles made in the UK between 1931 and 1979. They were driven out of business by the likes of cheaper, foreign owned competitors such as corgi toys,
hot wheels, matchbox and Triang 'spot-on'. Foden, Bedford, Guy and Leyland were amongst its more popular lines - but unfortunately, towards the end of production, less popular than the likes of the Corgi 267
Batmobile or Corgi 261 James Bond Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5. Dinky Toys have become hugely collectable, and mint &/or boxed models, pre-war cars and rare colour variations tend to attract the best values.
