An elegant Art Deco figurine in the manner of those designed by Dakon and Lorenzl for Goldscheider. Made in Austria or Czechoslovakia some time in the 1920's or 1930's.

 

The young woman is modelled as a bare-footed dancer in a two piece dress costume of the period - her hair style and make-up are. also of the period. The top and long skirt are painted purple in differing hues almost as if they were lustre glazed and the front of the skirt is is decorated with large blue flowerheads.

 

Her pretty face is finely modelled and there is good shape to the folds of her dress.

 

She is 21cm (8.25") high and the black-painted oval base measures 9.5cm (3.75") by 7.5cm (3").

 

The figurine is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

 

There are no makers marks.

SHIPPING

 

We despatch worldwide and it is unrealistic to list each and every specific postal charge. All postage is charged at COST plus £1.50 for packaging materials.

Every care is taken to minimise these expenses and prospective buyers are welcome to request a specific cost.  This will sometimes be an estimate as we prefer not to pack items until the auction end so that items are accessible for us to answer any questions about condition.

 

Whenever we can we use recycled outer packaging for environmental reasons.  However we use virgin bubble wrap and loose fill inside the package.

 

Every care is taken in the packaging of items.

 

Items will be posted usually within 24 hours but can take up to 3 days after receiving cleared payment.

 

 

Proof of postage is always obtained so that if any item is lost or damaged in the post a claim can be made from the postal authorities.
