The ART-13 is one of my all time favorite transmitters. From my base with the Air Force in Germany, I was able to stay in touch with the States using my ART-13 and my Hammarlund SP600JX17. I still have them and three more ART-13s. As always with machines over 50 years old, they do require maintenance. I’ve found that color coding the schematic and the various electronic sections makes trouble shooting much, much easier and much less prone to errors. This, along with the CD information included here is so valuable to me that I’ve decided to share it with those who might need it. It also makes beautiful art work for those who collect BAs like myself.
I'm a a retired electrical engineer, professor and Ham Radio operator since the early '50s as W7YEN. I've owned my Collins ART-13 since the late '50s and found it to be one of the absolute best transmitters with full AM modulation. I've increased the labeling and added new color coding and other enhancments to the schematic. This greatly increases the visual usability.
