COLLECTION OF 6 VINTAGE ADVERTISING TINS
We went out hunting for interesting things last week, and came home with a fairly large collection of advertising memorabilia made out of paper, tin and enamel. We decided to put them in small collections, as individually they would take ages to list and write about, and all together they would just have been overwhelming. Here is one of the collections. There are six in all, namely, Horniman's Boudoir Tea (which has brewing instructions on the inner lid), Iron Jelloids No 2, An E.R. red postbox savings tin called a Coronation Treasure Chest, A highly decorative tin with folklore pictures all over which contains something called Snap Vacuum Closures, which are actually metal lids with a spring metal clip fasteners, and a silver coloured tin commemorating J.S Fry & Sons Ltd, 200 years of Excellence from 1728 to 1928. They are from different eras, and I don't know which tin is the oldest, probably the Hornimans. All are in pretty good condition, although they are, of course, a bit scratched and blemished in places, as you normally find on old tins like these. However, they make a very interesting addition to any collection and are highly decorative.

At Frockabilia / EurobiliaUK.Antiques we have one simple aim; to sell good quality antique pieces at competitive prices. .
We are located near Hampstead Heath in Central London; we sell small to medium sized pieces of period furniture and collectables, mostly items that we consider to be useful in the home as well as decorative. We hope that if we love them, then so will you. They range from the Georgian, Regency, Victorian, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Edwardian and Art Deco periods. .
Most of our items are Antiques and minor blemishes are normal due to age (Some items are over 100 years old, so perfection is impossible). All auction descriptions are honest, accurate, detailed and have many pictures, if the item has a flaw we try to show a picture so you will know exactly what you are bidding on. But please remember that there is normal wear and tear, and it is not always possible to show that. We take a great deal of trouble over transporting our items, whether they are large or small. The large pieces of furniture, which go by road, are carefully handled by expert delivery drivers and the smaller pieces are packed very carefully, with lots of packing materials - the more fragile they are, the more packing and care they receive.
