Hi there, I started using Colief after finding Infacol and Gripe water did not seem to help my little one with his colic pain which was quite severe. I think the main difference seems to be that the other two work on breaking down the wind bubbles that build up inside your baby but this actually works on the milk and breaks down the lactose which alot of tiny babies struggle with until they get a bit older. I found this prosuct a godsend although I must point out that I used it in conjunction with Dr Browns bottles and a very good Cranial Osteopath. I know that the Colief worked though as I tried to stop using it when my baby was 4 months old and the Colic came back. A month later I tried again and all is now well :-) However I stockpiled this as I did not want to run out so am left with a surplus of 6 bottles all still new in box and sealed. The best before date on all of them is Sept 2010. Now for the technical jargon: Colief Infant Drops represent an entirely new approach to the problem of Infant Colic. New research shows that Transient Lactase Deficiency is a causative factor in many babies with Infant Colic. The active ingredient in Colief is Lactase Enzyme, which breaks down the lactose in the baby's milk naturally Colief is added to the baby's milk before the baby is fed: Colief treats the milk - not the baby
