Leo (Albert Finney) is the benevolent Irish gangster and political boss who rules an eastern city with help of of Anti -hero Tom (Gabriel Byrne), his trusted lieutenant and councelor.But their control of the town is challenged by an over reaching Italian under boss, Johnny Casper (Jon Polito) and his ruthless henchman Eddie Dane (J.E.Freeman).

While Tom tries to keep the peace, he has a disagreement with Leo over a woman and he finds himself caught in the jaws of a gangland power struggle.

Millers Crossing is propelled by gripping action, stunning cinematography and brims with black humour and shocking violence. It's intense and twisting plot walks a deadly tightrope where nothing is quite what it seems.
