1870. J.Davy & Sons. 3rd Edn Revised and considerably augmented. Hard Cover. Book-Binding by Porter in green morroco. Top edges gilt.  Gold titles and decorations to spine and gold decorations to both covers. Corners bumped. Small tear on top of spine.

Front hinge a little loose but a very nice copy of this excellent reference book. Contains 2200 potter's marks and illustrations. 10x6.5. 777pp. Marks detailed are of the Rennaissance and modern periods, with historical notes of each manufacture. The author was an authority on ceramics and gold and silver plate. Contains an introductory essay on "Vasa Fictilia Of England of the Romano-British and Medieval Eras". Ref: MV4380
