Here I offer a CD featuring 70 high resolution  scans of images from a photograph album in my collection, 17 (1200dpi scans ) of which feature  WW1 tanks.

The album belonged to Colonel John Napier Berkley-Miller of the Tank Regiment.  There are some great photos of WW1 tanks, their crews and a couple of shots of Rolls Royce armoured cars.  A few of the photos show a tank that has lost its track and efforts to repair it.  There is also an image showing a huge tank engine in workshop. There are other large group photos ..officers at Sandhurst , a camp at Marlborough .

There are photos of john as a youngman , some nice photos of early motorbikes ..latest photo early 1920s

I have a few items that relate to him , letters etc ..during WW2 the Americans awarded him the Legion of Merit , he was liason officer between British army and detroit office of the chief of ordnance and performed meritorious services to the United states from sept 1942-december 1945.He ably coordinated the needs of the British army in the research & development of gunnery as it affected armored fighting vehicles . I have also added to cd a copy of an invite to a Buckingham Palace garden party ..finally I have also added to the Cd four scans ..photos of different knocked out soviet T-34 from the korea war ..these were sent to him from the US and state all the tanks shown were knocked out by Napalm ..it "snuffed" out the crew by taking their oxygen and finally incerated them .

Some interesting images for the enthusiast.
