CD WW2 USAF PHOTO ALBUM AIR CREW GUNNER ..NOSE ART

Here I offer for the first time ( 10.06.09 ) a cd containing approx 70 high resolution scans produced from an original WW2 Photo album within my collection . Also scanned are some written details and newspaper clippings refering to Sgt .Wilson

The album belonged to SGT . Bayard H. Wilson 12012346 , who served with the United States 8th Airforce . Initially he worked as an aircraft mechanic ( enlisted 1935 ), on june 15 1944 Wilson joined the 458th as a Gunnery Instructor . On june 30, 1944 served as a flight engineer . He went on to complete 22 bombing missions over occupied Europe , serving as aircrew gunner and finally  worked  again as  Gunnery instructor . He was discharged at Los Angeles Oct 11th 1945 with 109 points .

The album contains photos of his pre war aviation / training . Homelife , then moves to WW2 .. 12 good photos of bomber nose art , 2 photos showing a crashed US Bomber , 4 photos showing German flak damage to planes and a good number of uniformed airmen .
