Here I offer for the first time 05.03.09  a cd containing approx 75 high resolution scans produced from a newly purchased original photo album .

The album belonged to and features Lieutenant W.E.V RICHARDS of the ROYAL FLYING CORPS  and fellow officers ..the first dates in the album are 1916 , he survives the war ...unlike many of his friends .  In several photos he mentions that those featured died within weeks of the photos being taken .  There is involvement / active service  with no 7 squadron RFC BEF Aug 1917..

 He moved around the country with the RFC / RAF ..Places mentioned include Hendon ,Croydon , Weybridge ,Weybridge park house ( his mess ) may 1917. eastern command school Bedford .

In 1918 he spends time in Ireland with RFC ..presumably pilot training ..Billet in Londonderry and photos of Holywood barracks , Belfast .

There are around 15 photos of plane crash sites , 4 different crashes ,photos taken from different angles / standpoints . Many photos of RFC uniformed men . Also some lovely photos of old cars .
