Here I offer a cd containing approximately 170 high res scans produced from an original WW2 Luftwaffe photo album.

The album belonged to Erich Heine ,pictured in listing photo with pilot after 200 successful missions .  He served as a rear gunner / radio operator in Stuka dive bombers . There are some excellent images taken by Erich , from his plane , of other Stukas in flight formation , also 2 images taken of pilot from behind ... Other fine photos show Stukas on the ground . This album has many written descriptions ...I have therefore scanned whole pages as well as all the individual photos .

A good number show Erich and his friends / pilots in a range of uniforms and flight gear ..including some nice studio portrait images . Approx 20 photos show funeral services ,a few photos have him in  Fock-Wulf FW58 & Arado 68 advanced training planes.

  Erich is featured throughout , this album gives us a flavour of his war service.

ERICH SERVED FOR AT LEAST THE YEARLY WAR YEARS OUT OF KONIGGRATZ LUFTWAFFE  AIRFIELD ( NOW HRADEC KRALOVE ) CZECH REPUBLIC . BORN 21.03.1921 ..
HE WAS SHOT DOWN on 21.08.1943 OVER CENTRAL UKRAINE & WENT MISSING IN ACTION . HE DIED ON 23.03.1957 AGED 36.
 
   These men & their screaming planes terrorised civilians and allied soldiers on the ground   ...yet in this album we see their human side  ...enjoying a drink, messing about in the snow and affectionately playing with a kitten . All part of the madness that was WW2 .
