Here I offer  a cd containing 149 high resolution scans produced from a newly acquired original WW2 German officers photo album.

The album covers the period 1939-1940 ..and shows the officers service in Poland . There is a strong Red Cross / ambulance theme ..many photos show marked vehicles , there are several photos showing Polish prisoners of war . There are also photos of wounded soldiers , a hospital and doctors /nurses .

There are many photos showing the devastation that was inflicted on Polands towns and cities , damaged bridges and war graves  .

The album has many captions ...unfortunately , I do not understand German , but more to the point I cannot work out what the handwritting says..I have scanned the captions which are under many of the photos which may help with research .
