CD OF ORIGINAL WW1 PHOTO ALBUM RFC AT RAF TANGMERE

Here I offer a new cd containing 35 high resolution scans ( 1200 dpi , much higher than listing photos )  from an original Royal Flying Corps photo album which I have just added to my collection ..this is its first airing ( 13th feb 09).

The photos were taken at RAF. Tangmere ,nr Chichester ,West Sussex and are dated 1918-1919 . There are a few names Lt s Hood ,Dixon , Dalton and Wright .

Planes featured in the album are Sopwith Camels , Bristol fighters ,De Haviland DH 9A ? , and huge Handley page bombers . A few photos are badly faded , I may try and get them professionally restored , as they are great compositions .

Photos include several showing plane crashes ...there is also a photo of a captured WW1 German Fighter . ,

This album gives a rare and fascinating insight into the lives of these brave men .  75% of this albums pages remain pristine / unused . It was a very dangerous occupation being a pilot at this time !

These scans will look great printed on quality photographic paper ,mounted & framed ..I have them enlarged to 6 inches by 8inches on my wall and they look splendid .
