Life Abundant is the first ever solo CD from Philip Cobb.

Philip is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and receives trumpet tuition from Paul Beniston and Alison Balsom.

Philip is a former principal cornet of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. During his membership of the band he won the Mortimer solo prize on an unprecedented three consecutive occasions.

Last year Philip was invited to compete in the prestigeous Maurice Andre International Trumpet Competition where he received the award for the most promising newcomer.

Philip is a member of The International Staff Band and the Hendon Band of The Salvation Army and features as a soloist in all concerts given by them.

On this CD, Philip performs on the cornet, trumpet and also the piccolo trumpet. Accompaniment is provided by Cory Band (conducted by Philip's father, Stephen) and by Benjamin Horden (organ).
