Volume 9 in the Essential Dyke series from Black Dyke Band has a slightly Antipedean flavour to it being that it is released soon after the band's return from a hugely successful tour of Australia. Much of the content of this recording was featured by the band during the tour.

The recording includes solos from Richard Marshall (Cornet), Alex Kerwin (Flugel Horn), Sandy Smith (Tenor Horn), Brett Baker (Trombone) and David Thornton (Euphonium) while the back row cornets and entire horn section are also featured.
