 THIS LISTING IS FOR  A SAMPLER CD OF 9 BOOKLETS FROM THE HASLAM DRESSCUTTING SYSTEM SCANS I HAVE COLLECTED. PLUS SCANS OF THE FOUNDATIONS AND TEMPLATE YOU NEED TO DRAFT THE PATTERNS. You can buy a sampler of 9 booklet scan sets OR or a full set of  85 scans + foundations/template in other listings. This is a GREAT introduction to the Haslam material and will help you decide if you want the full collection of 85 scan sets.

The sampler has 3 booklet scan sets from each of the 30's, 40's and 50's. SEE below for directions to view scans from the actual booklets. 

GO TO Webshots.com (advanced search, search by member, pinkemilygrace) and VIEW the album of examples from the SAMPLER plus examples from the Illustrated Drafting, Autumn Winter, Lingerie and Childrens booklet ranges. THESE ARE SMALL INTERNET FILES. The ones you buy are 300dpi quality files. 

 The complete collection of patterns / fashion designs range from the 1920's to 1950's and, with the Foundation booklets and Grading/Curve Template  YOU CAN MAKE ANY OF THE GARMENTS IN A FULL RANGE OF SIZES. NOTE that you have to make up the TEMPLATE  from 3 printouts mounted on heavy card. You then drill out grading holes.

The SYSTEM has two main stages. First you take 14 basic measurements of the person you are designing for. Referring to FOUNDATION BOOKLET(S) you take the various FOUNDATION BLOCKS (bodice, dress front etc) and draft them to size using the BLOCK shape, the MEASUREMENTS and the curves, size marks etc from the TEMPLATE This is all detailed in the instuctions in the foundation books(s). You have now created the blocks of the individual FOUNDATION or TOILE. Now you refer to the various booklets and choose the design you want to create. You now create the FOUNDATION BLOCKS for the individual pattern using the instructions in the booklet you have chosen and the TEMPLATE. At this stage you are ready to pin and cut your fabric out!

I have just finished editing my older scans. I have rescanned quite a few of the earlier booklets I collected plus a few pages here and there. The general quality is much improved. My scanning skills were not so good at the beginning to the project. NOTE THAT MANY OF THE PICTURE EXAMPLES ARE PRE IMPROVEMENTS- I will upload new pics at a later date.

I am selling you these scans, the original material being in the public domain, for your personal or educational use and not for resale- the scan collection is in my copyright. Please do make up the patterns and produce reproduction garments for yourself or resale. Then send me photos so I can set up an online gallery! 

Packing/handling for this item is £1.20 and includes the CD case & inserts, PLUS UK 75p sign for and ACTUAL COST OF POSTAGE. If I make a mistake in postage costs I will refund-EMAIL ME. UK postage now includes 'SIGN FOR' at 75 pence to fulfil new eBay conditions. International Sign For costs £3.70 so I am not insisting on this on INTERNATIONAL transactions under £39 as there is free PO insurance.
