This is a CD of Highlights from the 2001 Great Northern Brass Arts Festival which was held at the superb Bridgewater Hall, Manchester in September 2001. The Great Northern Brass Arts Festival is a day long series of concerts and events which serves as the opening event of the new brass band calendar.

Brass bands who took part in the festival included; Black Dyke Band, Williams Fairey Band, Fodens Band and St Helens Youth Band.
