Here I offer a new cd containing 10 high resolution scans ( 1200 DPI ) ..produced from 10 newly acquired photos showing the surrender of U-1009 and other U-boats .

The photos date to May 1945 and were taken at HMS Ferret ( shore establishment ) ..Lisahally , Londonderry  Ireland .

The U-boats carry the Royal navy flag . There are 2 photos which show U-1009 s commander , Klaus Hilgendorf .

A great little group for the U-boat enthusiast ...these images will print out superbly on quality photographic paper to 6 by 8 inch or even up to A4 and will fillyour computer screen ,enabling you to zoomin on fine details .
