Last RAF Vickers VC10 Flight UK- Washington crew signed cover
Signed by the crew of the last outbound flight

JS(CC)8 RAF cover produced to commemorate the last RAF VC10 flight on the UK-Washington Schedule on 28th August 1995. It depicts a VC10 overflying famous Washington Landmarks such as Capitol Hill and the Whitehouse. The badges of No 10 Squadron and RAF Brize Norton are shown and stamp is cancelled with BFPS 2473 postmark showing the VC10.

This cover is signed by the five members of the VC10 crew who flew the last scheduled flight from the UK to Washington on the 28th August 1995:

Flight Lieutenant G S Powell B Eng RAF - Co-pilot
Squadron Leader A S Deas BSc RAF - Navigator
Sergeant B M O'Sullivan - Engineer

Numbered and certified on reverse by Squadron Leader Des Hill RAF, formerly Squadron Leader Operations Royal Air Force Brize Norton with flight details printed on the reverse. (200 issued)

Two crew signed covers were issued one for the outbound flight and one for the return flight, as far as I can tell only one was released for sale in 1995, with this edition not being sold to collectors. It resurfaced in 1997/1998 making an interesting addition to any RAF collection.
