German Experimental Prototype aircraft of WW2 signed by General Gunther Rall Knights Cross with Oak Leaves and Sword, the third highest WWII ace and respected post war aviator

JS(CC)69c cover depicting German experimental prototypes of WW2 and features Focke-Wulfe Triebflugel , Junkers 287V1 and delta wing Gartha Go229 V3. These designs influenced modern aircraft design such as the Bell X-1, Delta wing and Stealth fighters. The cover bears Definitive stamp cancelled with BFPS 2528 postmark for the End of the War in Europe dated 7 May 2000 and showing a Me 262 jet in flight. The cover has been flown in a Tornado of the German Air Force.

This cover is hand signed by General Gunther Rall Knights Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Rall was the third highest German ace with 275 victories, and went on to hold various staff positions and commands during WWII. After being freed after the war he went on to become a much respected leader of the post-war Luftwaffe.

Official special, numbered and certified on reverse.

One of the Luftwaffe's highest scoring aces, with his first victory in 1940 over France and then Squadron Commander 8./JG 52 in July 1940. After his 36th victory on 28.11.1941 seriously wounded and temporarily paralysed. Returned to his Squadron in August 1942. Group Commander III./JG 52 from April 1943 until March 1944. Then Group Commander II./JG 11 in the West. In March 1945 became Wing Commander JG 300. His 100th victory on 22.10.1942, his 200th on 29.8.1943 making him the third highest fighter pilot, his 250th on 28.11.1943 as second highest. 40 victories within a month during October 1943. Shot down five times himself. Appointed Commander of 2 Group, 11 Fighter Wing (in the West) March 1944 Appointed Commodore of 300 Fighter Wing March 1945.
