About Us

Jakana Trading opened its doors for business early in 2002 and has grown rapidly to become a successful online retailer of items for your home, garden, workshop and leisure. 

All the products we sell are in stock in our warehouse in Buckinghamshire and are available for immediate shipment direct to you. Our regular courier collections ensure that they are in your hands in the fastest possible time. 

We believe very strongly that we should treat every customer in just the same way that we would like to be treated and so this is what we always aim to do. 

As this is our full time business we are in a strong position to always be here if you need questions answering or if you need customer service. 

Our office is manned 5 days a week and emails are checked periodically over the weekends. Jakana Trading is a genuine UK based VAT registered business offering quality items at prices far cheaper than the high street. Every item is carefully packaged and labeled using the latest technology to ensure safe shipment to you. All prices quoted include VAT where applicable. Jakana Trading complies with all appropriate UK consumer protection legislation including the Sale of Goods Act, the Distance Selling Regulations and the Trade Descriptions Act.

Payment

We accept payments by: Credit or Debit Card, simply call one of our sales team on 01844 345433 Monday - Friday 10am - 5.00pm.
We also accept payments by PayPal, Postal Orders, and Bank Transfers. Once we have cleared funds we will make swift arrangements for delivery.
Multiple purchases. Most of the time we are able to offer a postage discount when more than one item is purchased. To be sure you pay the correct amount, once you have made your purchases, simply click "request a total from seller" and we will send you a combined invoice with the reduced p&p.
Checkout - Please be sure to go through the eBay checkout, listing your required delivery address and ensuring that we have a contact telephone number for delivery. This is the address we will ship to. Please do not tag messages onto any other communications as these seldom get seen. NB: Failure to provide a telephone may delay your delivery.

Delivery

We are committed to your satisfaction, we inspect every item prior to dispatch to ensure that it reaches our own high standard of quality, and that you receive the item as described. We normally dispatch items 1-2 working days after cleared payments (Unless otherwise stated) 
Dispatched using Parcel Companies Recorded Deliveries. This service means that most items are delivered 1 - 2 business days after dispatch. 
When applicable, we will provide you via email any online tracking available and an indication of what day you can expect your delivery, this of course is subject to delivery companies services of which we have no control over.
Our packaging and postage charges reflect the cost of packaging materials and the costs of our time preparing your item for dispatch and reasonable delivery costs. 
Once your order has been processed and we have received cleared payment, your item will be dispatched as soon as possible. Please allow extra time for clearance if you are paying by cheque or echeque.
On processing your order, we will email the email address you have provided a "Dispatch Notification" which will show, when applicable, online tracking through our carriers web site indicating your expected delivery day and also information on how to receive your order. Deliveries normally take place weekdays, between 8.30am and 6.00pm. A Saturday delivery service is available for a premium. 
Please note that the delivery company driver will require a signature unless you have provided clear written instructions for where the products are to be left if no one is at home. (This must be a reasonably easy place that a delivery driver can get to, or a neighbour). Where goods are left to your instructions, the delivery will be deemed to have been "accepted", once the delivery company has carried out your instructions. Note: This is only suitable for managable items.
To keep the price you pay to a minimum, we use one man delivery companies to deliver your orders. Generally they will arrive in an appropriate vehicle equipped with offloading / moving equipment, but on occasion the driver may require some assistance moving an item. Sometimes this can be achieved by removing components from the packaging to reduce some of the weight. 
NB: Failure to provide a telephone may delay your delivery. Please provide this when you go through the eBay checkout.

Terms

Warranty support is normally provided as supply of replacement parts at no cost, plus detailed & individual advice as necessary.
Warranty covers faulty operation & failures during NORMAL USE ONLY with the exception of consumable parts. Failures & damage due to incorrect use, installation or other causes are not covered under warranty, but parts are stocked & can be purchased at very reasonable prices.
We warrantee and represent that the goods are as described in the above listing. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Customers should satisfy themselves that any item choice made is suitable for their intended purpose or use prior to bidding / purchasing. We pride ourselves on our customer service. In the rare event that you have a problem with your item please contact us and we'll be happy to help. 
Genuinely faulty goods / parts will be replaced or money refunded, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item.

Returns

We take great pride in our individual customer service and in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your purchases from ourselves, you may of course cancel / return your order for any reason within 7 working days of your order being delivered. 
We will refund your money within 7 days of cancellation, providing we are in receipt of the returned goods, un-used, in a re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. Orders are collected on this website to be shipped asap hence, if goods have been dispatched prior to your cancellation, we cannot reimburse any of the delivery/collection costs.
Faulty returns - we cannot refund postage costs unless the item is faulty and has been signed for as "damaged" on receipt.
