CASED 1964 YARD-O-LED "DE-LUXE" MODEL SILVER PENCIL

This is a very nice, English made, solid silver Yard-O-Led "De-Luxe" model mechanical pencil in its original red leatherette case, dating from 1964. It is marked on the clip "YARD-O-LED" and around the central band "MADE IN ENGLAND". It bears the full Birmingham solid silver hallmarks for 1964 together with the sponsor/makers mark "EB". This is the mark for Edward Baker Co. that had become part of the Yard-O-Led organisation in 1955. It has an overall fine vertical line pattern finish interspersed with small chevron motifs, together with a plain cartouche on the cap for personalisation which is still blank. It is in very good used condition with hardly any wear to the silver and just very minor marks on the tip section from handling and use and two tiny dings on the top of the cap section. The case is also in excellent condition, the inside being clean with just some minor staining. It comes complete with a refill of the correct size and a few spares in the magazine, and it is fully functioning.
