CARCASSONNE board game includes River Expansion *NEW

BRAND NEW and SEALED - CARCASSONNE, the original tile laying game produced by Rio Grande Games.

The southern French city of CARCASSONNE was founded on an important trade route between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic and is famous for its unique mixture of Roman and Medieval fortifications.

You must develop the area around CARCASSONNE by placing land tiles. Each turn the area becomes larger as you add roads, fields, cities and cloisters. You also have followers who are deployed as thieves, farmers, knights and monks to control and score you victory points for the roads, farms, cities and cloisters you place. But, as you only have a few followers, it's the wise player who plans his moves carefully and only sends his followers where the most points can be scored.

CARCASSONNE is a simple but very clever tile laying game that brings new challenges with every turn and this version of the game comes complete with the free River Expansion.
