Here you are bidding on an authentic original framed oil painting of the famous world race - The Cape Horn British Soldier Race which was last held in 1974.
This painting was done by artist Jon Henry at the event on 1974.
As you can see it has been named & signed by him.

The painting is still in its original frame. Due to the painting being 32 years old & being in storage it has a lot of wear & tear as can be seen in the pictures.
Some of the paint has chipped off & there are hairline cracks on the paint.
The frame is structurally ok with some minor wear.

Overall this is a good buy for any serious art collector or military historian due to it being a rare military piece. Painting could be restored & may be able to be treated by oil painting restoration specialists.

Size of painting is 51cm by 40.5cm & overall size of frame is 63.5cm by 50.5cm. Depth of frame is 4.5cm.
