A charming porcelain mantel clock featuring a girl in a cobalt blue swirling frock hand painted with flowers, the rest of the case elaborate and encrusted with flowers. Above the clock part is a section for flowers. There are no marks on the case but an educated guestimate is that it is late C19th German. The actual clock is marked Pecista Made in Germany and I suspect isn't contmeporay with the case but fits well. It is working but may need some adjustment as it is running slow. The case has suffered down the years, there has been repair to the girl: her wrist and around her body. Also to the back of the vase bit and some of the flower petals have lost their tips. Despite its flawed perfection though it still displays beautifully and you have to look quite closely to spot the repairs.
