MEDIUM - GOUACHE ON PAPER WITH CELLULOID COVER.

This is an original hand painted gouache celluloid used in a Walt Disney production - any comments welcome on which one.

The celluloid depicts one of Donald Duck's relatives.

For each slight movement in the action of a character in a Walt Disney animated picture, a celluloid painting must be made.

The celluloid painting is then photographed in succession over master backgrounds producing, on the motion picture film, numerous pictures, each with its min-ute changes in movement. These, when projected on the screen in rapid succession, create the illusion of motion.

To the reverse, is an original label for Walt Disney Productions California.
