An early Bursley Ware tube-lined cup and saucer in pattern number 439 dating from teh early 1920's. The pattern is detailed in the Bernard Bumpus Collecting Rhead Pottery book on page 30 describing it as "tube-lined stylised lead and berry design with orange and yellow lustre". This is in the range of pattern numbers when Frederick Rhead was at the pottery. The cup measures 2 1/2" high and the saucer is 5 5/8" across. Both pieces in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Couple of white wear marks on ridges of cup but nothing to detract. The cup just has the hand writen 439 B on it and the saucer has teh Bursley Ware ENgland backstamp and #439 W.

Overseas buyers to pay eight pounds for uninsured air mail postage and package sent via the small packet service. For the International Signed For service which tracks the package and insures against loss (not breakage) there is an additional cost of 3.50 pounds for items worth up to 30 pounds in value and five pounds for items worth more than 30 pounds.
