Mentally-challenged Bill Morrow has been locked in his room all his life by his poltically driven mother. Tonight Billy's keeper, a sadistic and neglectful houseboy, goes to far and billy reacts the only way he knows how - by imitating what he's seen on screen. Escaping the house, Billy is drawn to the drive-in. Masked by the screams from the screen, he does the only thing he knows how to do...he kills, and kills again. No one seems able to stop him. For the patrons of the drive-in, on this night, the movie is real.
