Bumble Bee Snails - Pusiostoma mendicaria These colourful little chaps are found in the tropical Indo-Pacific region in coastal areas.
The Black shells and yellow stripes are what give them their common ‘Bumble Bee’ name.
Ideal animals to keep in saltwater reef tanks as they are active scavengers – and will quickly clear dead animals such as other snails or dead fish and food that fish in the system Staying small at less than 2cm, these snails won’t get large and clumsy like some other species can.
We damp ship these to reduce shipping costs for you, they still have water with them and we still advise a slow adaption to your water to create less stress on the livestock, this is a proven packing method and we get most of our stock this way including corals now.
It is also our recommendation to carefully calculate the amount of snails you stock as they are so good at eating algae, too many in the wrong system may actually starve.

1. Place your order as you would for any ebay item. If you order multiple items at once and the postage is not correct, please don't worry, will will correct this prior to sending you the ebay invoice. Please do not contact us regarding this unless you feel your invoice is wrong.
2. Following your order placement we will email you using the email address you have supplied on ebay. If you haven't received an email within 24hrs from us please call us on 01628 560 722 quoting your ebay name. Alternatively, please check that the email adress that you have quoted on ebay is the correct one and if incorrect please contact us - This is a common problem so please bear with us and check.
Please note the dispatch time we list is from the point of your return email asking when you want to recieve the live stock not from your purchase date
3. We do not send out any livestock orders without confirmation from you as to which day you wish to receive your package. In order to tell us, simply reply to the mail we send you stating your preference. We do not dispatch livestock on Sunday for Monday or Friday for Saturday & Sunday.
4. Please note; we do not use the ebay messenging system as it is too slow - we use our own email system for convienience, please reply to our mails and not use the messenger system where possible. Thank you.
5. Any problems please just phone us as we can deal with any issues far quicker this way
6. In the unlikely event of a Doa claim please note this muct be backed up with photo graphic evidence with it still in the bag, before 5pm the same day.
7. Please adjust any salinity difference very slowly as we run our systems as close to natural seawater as possible so 1.025- 1.026 and if you are running lower this can casue osmotic shock on the livestock
We package all livestock in polystyrene boxes with heat packs.
