This item is descried to the best of my ability.  Please read the description, ask as many questions as you want and see what the majority of the feedback say about this item and determine for yourself if BugGPS is right for you.

Warranty & Return Policy:

Due to the nature of the product, this is a final sale.  Exchange for defects only.  This is also stated in the eBay ‘Return Policy’ below. No returns for any reason, including the following:  You ‘thought this was live tracking’ or ‘was expecting something else’, or you purchased the item for a specific reason which was resolved before the product arrived, and now you don’t need it.

Warranty length: 4 months for replacement, 4-12 months will be repaired costing no more than $25USD/GBP14.00.
 
As with anything purchased online, to receive an exchange, you must return your item and wait for a replacement.  All Warranty issues are dealt with by one office.  You may be required to send somewhere other than where it was originally sent from.  Instructions for warranty exchange will be sent to you via email to exchange your unit.

Tech Support:

All GPS data loggers require some computer skills.  98% of customers find BugGPS easy to use and the instructions easy to follow.  If you’re having trouble, you can email me for support.  You may require the help of someone who’s computer literate (if you‘re not).

I guarantee that BugGPS works on most computers (99%), not yours in particular and not Mac.  If your PC is old or for some reason is having issues using the BugGPS, then you may have to use another computer.

Reception: 

BugGPS has about the best reception in the industry and can be placed under the vehicle. There may be certain areas under your vehicle, certain vehicles, or certain areas with buildings, hills, valleys or mountains that may interfere with reception.  Reception problems may cause the tracker to delay locking to satellites, or cause some stray lines to appear in your tracklog. This is normal with any GPS unit. From a ’cold start’ your unit may not start to track for a few minutes as it relocks to satellites. This also is normal with any GPS unit.  If you would like to speed the ‘cold start’ process up or increase your reception, I provide GPS antenna at cost for $10.  About 1 in 100 customers require an antenna.

Magnetic case:

The magnetic mount is made with a powerful NdFeB magnet and will not fall off unless placed incorrectly or on a surface which is not all metal.  By placing it on the vehicle, you accept all risk of theft or damage by exhaust heat or extreme wet conditions.  Units damaged by heat or water are not covered under warranty.

Software:

Provided software has been tested and used by thousands of customers.  Windows ’warnings’ when installing are normal when windows does not recognize a program.   There may be software upgrades and customers are welcome to email me from time to time for updates.  If there is a new upgrade released that is not on the CD of the item being sent, the software may be sent via email instead of the CD.  Software may be then copied to CD by customer.

Other:

For ‘Not as described’ PayPal claims, PayPal will be referred to my eBay terms and conditions.

BugGPS will not work on Apple Mac computers.
 
Accessories are subject to change slightly and software may change as upgraded.

Magnetic case material is waterproof but the magnetic case itself is water resistant.  Material may change from time to time.

Excel, Google Earth, and LOCR are all free to download and work with BugGPS.  Any compatibility issues with these programs and your computer or issues with outdated computers are the responsible of the customer.

If you wish to completely disregard my terms and conditions, product must be returned within 15 days as 100% as new with protective covering still on unit. I charge a 30% restocking fee which covers the following losses:

• Shipping/handling
• Loss of sale.  I could have sold to someone else.
• I will have to sell as used when it’s returned.
