Buena Vista Social Club - CD Cuban w Ry Cooder

Original CD in excellent condition.

I don't know if they were all issued like this, but please note that the booklet/insert is a bit basic, but this CD is genuine, World Circuit Cat WCD050

Ry Cooder's name has helped bring attention to this session, but it's the veteran Cuban son musicians who make this album really special. Reminiscent of Ellington in its scope and sense of hushed romanticism, Buena Vista Social Club is that rare meld of quietude and intensity; while the players sound laid-back, they're putting forth very alive music, a reminder that aging doesn't mean taking to bed. Barbarito Torres's laoud solo on "El Cuarto de Tula" is both more blinding and more tasteful than any guitar showcase on any recent rock album; a quote from "Stormy Weather" and some very distinct parallels to Hawaiian styles remind us of why it's called "world music."

Shipping costs to UK addresses are included in the item cost.

International Shipping to countries outside the UK. Airmail: Europe: GBP1.50 - Rest Of World: GBP2.50

Each additional CD of the same type, shipped in the same package to addresses outside the UK costs :
GBP1.00 only.

I normally give a greater shipping discount to international buyers of 4 or more CDs.

Payments and Terms.

For buyers from outside the UK Paypal is the only accepted form of payment, unless by prior arrangement, except for buyers in the E.U. who are welcome to pay by Bank Transfer in Euros.

Any additional shipping charges, insurance, registered post etc are at the buyers expense, and will be quoted on request. For international mixed shipments I will quote shipping rates on request. I obtain a proof of posting from my UK post office. I will acknowledge all payments when received, and also let you know when your items have been mailed.

Payment for the auction is due within 7 days of auction end. I always report non-payments to Ebay.
