Bryant & May bakelite ships lifeboat matches container. These were not for public sale but manufactured by Bryant & May as a part of ships lifeboat/raft kit.

The tight seal and grooved surface made them waterproof and usable in emergencies. I have listed two of them. This one is in near perfect condition.

6.5cm tall and 4cm in diam at the top.
