We are quite possibly one of the most meticulous restorers of this type of funiture and each piece is very important to us.
We have provided furniture for Some of Londons most prestigious addresses and currently have a project refurbishing a very important Embassy building with some of our own new pieces. This is not to mention institutions and private clients abroad including Harvard University.
The sofa that you see here is dated circa 1880 and has been very well restored to offer an extremely good example of a Victorian Chesterfield sofa. All of the original black porcelain castors are in tact and the sofa retains all of the Original Horsehair and has been fully re-sprung using the Original springs. The frame is a solid as the day it was first made over 120 years ago and really is fit for a further few generations.
Having beautifully turned legs both back and front gives this sofa a very elegant stature. The sofa is approximately 82" long.
We do carry a good selection of Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco frames from which clients can select and have restored accoring to their own specification.
